As we stood at the foot of a ruby-red mountain that loomed majestically over the shoreline, engulfing the beach and waves in a crimson shadow, I immersed in the beauty of this mysterious, mineral-laden landscape. Really, with ochre-stained streams, crimson-hued beaches and enchanting salt caves, Iran's Hormuz Island is a geologist's Disneyland. It is such a captivating sight that you can not forget it. I was enraptured the poetical way she described the beauty of this island and I was so captivated that I visited it on the weekend and I found that rapture of the Queen was fully justified. One evening, after dinner, Empress Farah asked me whether I had visited Nature's Disneyland. It was way back before the Iranian revolution when Iran was a a country where people were free from fanatic ideology and I had to visit.
